Tiger Tribe | Gift Ideas for 1-10 years | Review
One month until Christmas and I need to get organised… I think most parents are starting to think that so I have come up with a few gift ideas that might make the buying gifts process easier. These are gifts that I stock because I have used them with my own family so I know how much fun they bring and the quality they are made of.
Gift One- Tiger Tribe Waterslide- $30
https://frombabytokids.com.au/product/tiger-tribe-waterslide-marble-run/
My children have loved their bath time even more lately since I set this waterslide up for them. It comes with lots of connectable pieces that are cute in colour, 2 spinning wheels and 4 little round balls. It took a little to set up and ensure the balls and water flowed, but once it was set up it was great fun. It has two sides that the kids can put the balls down so my kids race the balls to see who will win.
You can use it with just the balls or with water. It has great suction bits to stick to the wall and it would work really well in the shower too. Even my 1 year old loves to watch the balls go down. I prefer not to give him the balls as they are quite small, but he can still play with it by pouring water down. This is great for his fine motor skills.
Gift Two- Stained Glass Set- $25
https://frombabytokids.com.au/product/tiger-tribe-stained-glass-set-sunbeam-dreams/
This is one of my favourite colouring in set. My daughter has this set and we have had so much fun colouring in together. The textas that come with the set make the colours nice and bright on the page and then it can be stuck on the window for extra effect. The set has 36 different designs to colour in, lots of textas to choose from and it comes in a hard cover box that is easy to store and use. We leave ours in our car and use it when we are out and about like at cricket training or out for coffee. Perfect way to keep little ones entertained.
Gift Three- Magic Water Painting- $15
https://frombabytokids.com.au/product-category/tiger-tribe/
If you are looking for a gift for a 1 year old, then this is a fun activity they can use which is mess free. The set comes with a water container with paintbrush head and 4 different paintings. They are white to start with and then the child uses the paintbrush that is filled with water to ‘paint’. They use strokes to uncover the picture underneath. But best of all is that it is reusable. It soon dries and then can be used again and again. This is again one of my favourites and it is useful for long drives, out to tea or on warm days. There are 6 different designs to choose from- Things that go, A day at the Palace. Dinosaurs, Safari Adventures, Fairy Garden and Oceans.
Gift Four- Beat the Clock- $25
https://frombabytokids.com.au/product/tiger-tribe-beat-the-clock-stopwatch-activity-set/
School holidays can be long and the kids get bored. This is when this set comes in handy. It has 36 different games and activities to do like timing how long you can keep a balloon in the air, how quickly they can get undressed, how may times they can throw a paper ball into a bin. Great things for older kids to do especially when it is too hot to go outside.
Gift Five- Magnificent World of ABC Animals- $40
https://frombabytokids.com.au/product/tiger-tribe-magnificent-world-of-abc-animals/
This is on my gift list this year to give to my children. I am excited to play with it too. It comes with lots of letters and pictures of animals and cards with the animals name. The kids can then try to spell the word, match the animals or make new words depending on their age and literacy levels. It is a gift that will suit all 3 of my children.
Capsule Cover review | Itzy Ritzy Peek a boo capsule cover
Product Review – August 2013
Date of review: 20th August 2013
Product reviewed: Itzy Ritzy Capsule Cover
Name of advertiser: From Baby to Kids
Packaging:
The capsule cover arrived quickly in a parcel post bag. It had its own packaging within the parcel which can be used to store and keep the cover clean.
Instructions:
The labelling is very clear. It has the washing instructions both symbolised and written and explains simply how to put the cover over the capsule.
Suitable for:
The capsule cover is suitable for use over most standard capsules. The colours are nice and bright and I think suitable for use with both boys and girls. From Baby to Kids also have several more designs to choose from.
Quality of materials:
The capsule covers are made from 100% cotton and are of a very nice quality.
Value for money:
The RRP of $44.95 for the capsule cover is very good value for money. I have not been able to find any other specific capsule covers that are similar to this. It is nice and bright and will definitely be used for my daughter.
Would you recommend this product and business to others?
I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends. It is bright and colourful and is much easier than throwing a blanket over the top of the capsule and trying to secure it with pegs on a windy day. The peek-a-boo pocket makes it very easy to check on bubs without having to disturb their sleep.
Overall:
The cover fit perfectly over my capsule but it also fit over our pram with the carry hole to the front. It means when my daughter drops her dummy I can simply reach in to retrieve it instead of having to lift the shade cover and then re-adjust it. We did get caught in the rain but the colours did not run and when it was washed, it maintained its shape and colour. I have received many comments from my mothers group who have also thought it is a great idea!

Kiddi Kutter Review
Kiddi Kutter Review- By Stephanie, mum to 3 children
We were recently given the Kiddi Kutter knife to try out with our three children aged 6, 5 and 2. I have previously shielded away from letting my kids do any independent cutting with sharp knives for fear of an accident if they slipped or my attention was diverted when I supervised them. I was thrilled to be able to give them something to use that was going to be safe and foster their sense of autonomy at the same time.
The Kiddi Kutter is a sturdy knife with a rubberised grip handle and a serrated metal blade. It is child size and a comfortable fit in their small hands. The cutting action is more like sawing than chopping but the blade is capable of getting through even the hardest foods like carrots, although I found it was more suited to softer foods like cold meats and cheese. My daughter who is 2 got the most enjoyment out of using the Kiddi Kutter and she is delighted to help out with lunch and dinner preparation in a more hands on way than she was ever able to do previously.
I also think that now that my older 2 sons have had some experience cutting foods independently with the Kiddi Kutter, that they are ready to move onto a sharper knife with less risk of accident and injury . I think this is because they are more practiced at how foods respond to pressure and they have more idea just how much force they have to use for different foods.
Overall I am very impressed with this knife and would recommend it to other parents who want to get their children involved in the kitchen and give them some freedom at the same time.

Lil Fraser Wrap review
Customer review of Lil Fraser Wraps
I was lucky enough to receive one of the beautiful L’il Fraser Collection wraps as a gift after the birth of my second daughter. As a second time Mum, I was pleased to receive a generous sized wrap, making it very versatile for many different styles of swaddling or as a shade cover over the pram, and can be used well into the toddler years. The L’il Fraser Collection wraps are incredibly soft, a perfect wrap for a baby’s delicate skin, and the stretchy 100% jersey cotton helps baby to feel firmly secure without completely restricting movement, in a breathable cotton fabric, something many other brands of baby wraps don’t offer.
I have completely fallen in love with this wrap, and will be adding another to our collection so I am never without one! Several of my mummy friends have already discovered the L’il Fraser Collection wraps, they too share my love for these wraps. I look forward to giving these beautiful wraps to friends as gifts for the birth of their new babies, every baby needs one (or two!)

Kids Backpack Review
Finlee and Me review of Kids Backpacks
My son is about to turn four and start Kindy at the end of January. Being my first child I am excited for him and wanted to ensure the transition goes smoothly by having all the right items that he will need for his time at Kindy. The first thing on my list was a kids backpack. I wanted it to be a nice size that wouldn’t hurt his back and I wanted it to be adjustable so that I could make it fit correctly. I know that he will need to store his lunch and drink bottle, a change of clothes and many of the creative things he will make at Kindy so it still had to be a reasonable size to fit that.
He loves cars, planes and anything with wheels or that flies so when I was asked to review a kids backpack from Finlee and Me http://www.finleeandme.com.au/productcategory.php?id=9 I was impressed when we were sent The Fast Track kids backpack and so was he.
The material is very soft and as a bonus is machine washable. This will come in handy if his lunch gets spilled or when I need to wash the bag after holding all the craft items as I am sure there will be lots of glitter coming home on the creations.
The backpack is made from insulated fabric that is stain resistant and certified free of lead, PVC and phthalates. I was impressed when I read that each backpack is individually made in Taiwan by a woman owned facility that supports fair labour.
The backpack is very light and has a section at the back of the backpack to store notes or readers. Inside there are three compartments that could hold a drink, sunscreen, or a lunchbox. They are made of netted material and have elastic so can stretch to hold the item. There is also enough room to store a lunchbox, clothing or craft items. There is one strap inside the backpack that helps tighten the arm straps so I can make it fit my son correctly. It can also be tighten so that there are no dangling straps. There is a handle at the top that will come in handy when I need to carry it.
The colours are very appealing with majority of it being red and grey and the two racing cars are red and blue and it has a yellow racing track.
Overall I am very happy with this backpack and I am sure my son will love using it for Kindy. There are so many different types of kids backpacks available like the owl and penguin ones.
If you think these backpacks are great then you’ll want to check out other Finlee & Me Products like their educational toys ( http://www.finleeandme.com.au/
Disclaimer- I have not been paid for this review, but have been sent a backpack that I have been able to use and keep. Any thoughts or opinions that have been shared are mine.
